This is a 100% COMPLETE 1948 GILBERT ERECTOR SET..Best known as the ENGINEERS SET.
It is a "played with" set, but very little.(see photos)  I made the main cardboard insert. String, Flag, & Boiler Top insert are original to the set. Even the T-Clips are all original.
Motor runs fine.
I did replace the cord, but left the old cord in the set if you wanted to use this as a show set.  Its just on top of the new cord. ALL parts are nice & straight. Box is great with some scratches on the lid. Little paint missing from the right corner. You can see it in the photos.
The manual is complete & in good shape. Even has the original letter form Gilbert! This is a MAN CAVE MUST! Great for building models too. It is ORGANIZED just as if it were leaving the factory in New Haven, CT. for your favorite toy/hardware store in the late 40s. Check out the photos..they tell the story of this set. Questions??
