You are bidding on a somewhat vintage pair of Wilson brand unopened tin cans. One can contains 3 white Championship Extra Duty Felt tennis balls. "Dacron - Nylon - Wool - Long Life". "Approved by the United States Lawn Tennis Association". Made by Wilson Sporting Goods Company of River Grove, Illinois. Heavy steel construction. Excellent condition overall. There are some indentations in the right center area of the label. Study the photos. Metal pull ring top with white snap-on plastic cover. The Wilson logo on the plastic cover has some paint loss/scuffing and a split on the side edge. The other can contains 3 optic yellow Match Point tennis balls. "Official Size - Weight - Rebound".
Made in Korea for Wilson Sporting Goods Company of River Grove, Illinois. Heavy steel construction. Very nice condition overall. There is a small surface rust spot just to left of the tennis racket and a larger surface rust spot to the left of the lettering on the white band. There are a few small specks of paint missing and very light scratches thoughout the label. To the right of the tennis player the owner's initials and date of purchase (6-77) have been scratched into the paint. However, as an added bonus the original Woolworth's price tag (.49) is still intact on the upper right corner of the label. Study the photos. Metal pull ring top with clear snap-on plastic cover. Measures 8-1/8" in height and 3 inches in diameter. Would display nicely.
