A&D announces the SV-10, a revolutionary advanced viscometer. Incorporating A&D’s tuning fork vibration method, the SV-10 outperforms other viscometers in precision and in taking difficult measurements such as low viscosity or foam samples. This unique viscometer is ideal for ink, paint, food, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, rubber, oil, paper, or any viscometry application that requires high accuracy and fast response time.
The SV-10 utilizes a patent-pending (approved) Tuning-Fork Vibration method that takes the uncertainty out of viscosity measurement and promises you high accuracy and a wide measurement range without replacing the sensor plates!! This exclusive technology provides a superior measurement with a 1% accuracy of reading (full range) and a wide viscosity range of 0.3 cP to 10,000 cP without the need to change sensor plates. Response time is a mere few seconds, and the standard temperature sensor constantly monitors temperature compensation. Unlike most other vibration viscometers, the SV-10 can be calibrated quickly and easily. Operation is simple and automatic with just a press of one button. Due to the unique measuring system, process monitoring, foam samples, and even non-Newtonian fluids can be measured with complete accuracy. The SV-10 comes standard with an RS-232C interface for connection to a printer or computer. WinCT-Viscosity data acquisition and analysis software (

Sine-wave Vibro Viscometer SV series measures viscosity by detecting the driving electric current necessary to resonate the two sensor plates at a constant frequency of 30Hz and amplitude of less than 1mm.
The SV series has of 2 thin sensor plates that are driven with electromagnetic force at the same frequency by vibrating at constant sine-wave vibration in reverse phase like a tuning- fork.
The electromagnetic drive controls the vibration of the sensor plates to keep in constant amplitude. The driving electric current, which is exciting force, will be detected as the magnitude of viscidity produced between the sensor plates and the sample fluid.

This A&D SV-10 Viscometer came from a manufacturing facility that recently closed down and is in good condition.  Only the SV-10 Main Unit was present, the Display Unit was not with it when I acquired it and is not included.   I do not have the expertise or ability to test this unit so it is being sold strictly AS IS.  I'm not sure if it will function properly without the Display Unit so please bid/buy accordingly.
