DisposableViscosity Cup Viscometer Operating instructions – See below:
TheNiseTasse disposable Viscosity Cup is a portable, disposable, solvent resistantviscosity cup designed for field testing, and pre-quality control productiontesting. This product may be used for testing of creams, oils, paints, varnishes, lacquers, dyes, coating, solvents, grease, enamel, and more.
Theviscosity is expressed as the number of seconds required for the liquid to passthrough the cup and breaking the stream approximately one inch below the cup. There are five different types of cups we offer with different size orifice toapproximate the reading from standard stainless-steel cups comparable to Zahnviscometers.
NiseTasseDisposable viscosity cups are:
·
Simple to use, inexpensive, and disposable
·
No mess, no clean up
·
Reads results in seconds with excellentrepeatability
·
May be used multiple times during thesame liquid testing to verify results
·
Made from special polymer whichexhibits resistance to most common solvents and chemicals
·
Manufactured and tested to exactingspecifications (ASTM D 4212-88) these cups offer a quick, inexpensive reliablemethod for testing viscosity.
·
Convertible to other forms ofviscosity measurements

OperatingInstructions:
Forbest results use a stopwatch and a dial or digital thermometer.
To Testa Liquid:
For best results adjust liquid to a standard temperature of 77 F. *
Put one finger or pen through handle holes and submerge viscosity cup into liquid.
Raise cup from the liquid and start the stopwatch using the other hand.
Stop the stopwatch when the stream breaks approximately one inch below the cup.
Repeat the test three times using the average test result. (Zahn seconds). Dispose of used cup.
·
If temperature adjustment is notpractical a temperature viscosity curve may be developed using the standardliquid and reading the viscosity at 10 degree intervals.
