Vintage 17 DIDIO ROCK CRYSTAL Optic Panel Stemware Glasses Hand Etch/ Blown 1949

Description

This is a very rare set of Didio Rock Crystal from the late 1940’s. I have included an image of the original advertisement circa 1949. According to the advertisement, when these glasses came out you can only purchase them one at a time. They didn’t come in sets so you made your own.  Each glass is also hand blown and hand etched with beautiful flowers and leaves.  I tried to get images of the masterful artwork on each glass, but this Crystal is so amazing and the etching is so perfect that I could not get the lighting to catch the cuts very well.  The etching is clear and not frosted, it does have deep beveled edges that catch the Light whenever you move the glass. It's a beauty to behold and not captured in a photo.  These glasses also make such a lovely sound when you ping them. Very loud and clear.
